this is me

This is me.

This is me after I got my nails done: a celebration of a concert that went well and now I don't have to play a guitar for the next 3 months.

This is me, humiliated to be a teacher at my school today.

This is me not knowing whether to laugh or cry as our entire school, on a field trip, walked out of a musical today during intermisson because the principal got his wires crossed and thought the musical was only 1 hour long when it was actually 2hrs and 15 mins. The kids hadn't had lunch yet. The bus drivers had to pick up kids at the high school. The director stopped the entire show and announced our bus numbers over the sound system. Other schools were there. The kids paid $5 to go see this.

This is me after a glass or two of wine. This is me thinking that there are only 8 more days of school left.

Well, that's awful, but I'm still laughing my head off! Is there any chance your principal is related to Michael Scott?

I chaperoned a field trip to the zoo that was so poorly organized, we would not have even gotten through the front gates before we had to get back on the bus had I not prevailed upon the zoo people to let up jump ahead of the 63 other schools who were also waiting to get in. Who schedules a field trip that leaves the school at 9:00 and has to be back at 11:00 when the destination is more than half an hour away?

I love The Office! Michael Scott! Certain principals have been compared to him ;-)

Oh my, I cannot imagine the stress that occured on the zoo trip! Crazy!

And the bonus today as I laugh with you is that there are only 5 more days with kids!

Of course with Michael Scott principals those days without kids can sneak up on you.

Your nails look great!

How funny! I'm glad I'm not the only one going crazy, and I am jealous of the fact that you only have a few days with kids left. In wonderful NY, we have to go till June 27th.

Oh boy - I definitely feel for you. Working in the school system seems so crazy these days. My neighbor is a teacher and she fills me in on all that goes on where she works. Sounds harder than my corporate job for sure!
I am happy that the end of the year is arriving for you - wish I could say the same :-(
