Picture Day of Our Beach Trip, Oak Island, NC

The Girls are flying kites with daddy's help.

Daddy and girls build a sandcastle.

I'm splashing in the waves. Some of them were rough.

We stopped at a rest area on the way home to let the girls stretch their legs.

dem girls are so cute! You are right that the recipe you sent was inspiration-no powdered milk-no wheat germ- just find more stuff to mix in.

i actually cooked this week- i made hummus (great with greek olives and garden cherry tomatoes) and this morning (because i accidentally opened black beans instead of garbanzo) i made black beans and rice. I splurged on a rice cooker at big lots- we'll see how that works out.

I love your beach pictures! I haven't been to an east coast beach in decades. Heck, I rarely make it to the beach near us. Too much sand for my liking. But sharks... Yikes! That would definitely keep me away!

Aww very cute pics. Looks like a really rough waterway. You could have been surfing.

Hmm, seems somewhat redundant. I'm a mom of 2 lovely ladies. I'm the wife of a triathlete machine. I'm a general music teacher in a public school. I like to take pictures of things, especially things i consider beautiful. I like to share. As long as it isn't food. Enjoy!
